Project goal

To draw attention to developing young people's media literacy and critical thinking, helping them recognise misleading content generated by artificial intelligence and navigate today's complex information space safely.

Description

Project No. 25-02-CL25-C0LA19.2202-000001 — “Introducing innovative public activities for youth work, fostering young people's critical thinking, media literacy and understanding of the impact of artificial intelligence” — is implemented through creative and interactive lessons in the primary schools of Blīdene, Gaiķi and Nīgrande parishes in Saldus municipality. Supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Rural Support Service.

Project duration: 12.2025–09.2026. Total amount: EUR 6,000.00. EU co-financing: EUR 5,100.00.

Young people become digital detectives at Kalni Primary School

As part of the “Digital detectives” project, an educational and interactive lesson took place at Kalni Primary School, where young people stepped into the role of digital detectives themselves. During the visit, pupils tested their ability to tell trustworthy information from misleading content.
